A new poll from Latino Decisions and EDF Action released today finds Latino voters in Florida and Arizona care deeply about climate change and want their elected leaders to take bold action, with over 7 in 10 Latino voters saying it’s very or extremely important that that the next President and new Congress take steps to pass legislation to aggressively combat climate change.

EDF Action and Latino Decisions also released a national poll which found, among other findings, an 11% increase in Latino voters saying it’s extremely important that leaders take steps to aggressively combat the climate crisis, since 2016.

“This year, voters in Florida and Arizona may play a decisive role in the presidential election. This polling shows, once again, that climate change remains a top priority for Latinx voters in these critical swing states,” said Joe Bonfiglio, President of EDF Action.

“These polls are an important snapshot– and show high and consistent support for climate action from this growing segment of the electorate,” said Edward D. Vargas, Senior Analyst, Latino Decisions.
