EDF Action builds political power to protect our environment and the health of American families. As the advocacy partner of Environmental Defense Fund, EDF Action can participate in legislative advocacy in cases where EDF, as a charity, has to stand down. We focus on science, law and technology to advance good public policy that leads to action on climate.

EDF Action is active in over a dozen states from east to west, collaborating closely with partners and allies, community members and advocates toward meaningful progress on climate. It’s this roll-up-your-sleeves collective effort that is making congestion pricing a reality in New York, facilitating a groundswell of support for groundwater protections in the parched Southwest and securing implementation of national methane standards in a host of fossil fuel-producing states. And there’s more, much more, to be done.

Our team is established and well positioned to lead the charge alongside partners and allies, forging alliances with climate champions who will take meaningful action against global warming and environmental degradation, never losing sight of the need for just and equitable solutions.

EDF Action’s plan of action is to tackle the climate crisis head on by building community power on a national scale, deploying climate campaigns and solutions that are meaningful and resonant, and then electing the climate champions that will continue this essential work.

The climate crisis is here, now, and it’s existential. We have a plan – now all we need is you. Working together, we will succeed.
