Support for Climate Action Helped Push Hickenlooper to Victory in CO-Sen

(Washington, D.C. – November 3, 2020) EDF Action congratulates U.S. Senator-elect John Hickenlooper (CO-Sen) on winning his election.

“Voters sent a strong message by electing John Hickenlooper to the U.S. Senate,” said EDF Action President Joe Bonfiglio. “John Hickenlooper has always put Colorado families and their environment first by fighting for climate action, growing the clean energy economy and protecting public lands. We are proud to support John Hickenlooper in his election and we know he’ll work to find bipartisan solutions that benefit Colorado.”

EDF Action Votes ran an ad campaign that laid out the stakes of the election for Colorado’s air and water.

EDF Action also worked to deploy grassroots activist through the Green Wave program, where the group had an on-the-ground organizer and mobilized EDF Action members for John Hickenlooper’s campaign. The Green Wave was a nationwide membership mobilization program done in partnership with the Sierra Club, NRDC Action Fund, National Wildlife Federation Action Fund and League of Conservation Votes where the groups helped to elect and re-elect pro-environment candidates in key battleground districts across the country.
