(Washington, D.C., December 14, 2021) This week, EDF Action, the advocacy partner of the Environmental Defense Fund, launched an ad campaign praising Senators Warnock, Tester, Cortez-Masto, Hassan and Warner for their support of the Build Back Better Act – which will help lower energy costs for families and create good paying jobs. This campaign includes a Montana ad featuring a Helena firefighter.

This $1 million figure also includes the on-going ads Environmental Defense Fund is running in West Virginia and Arizona, and additional spending on EDF Action thank you ads to House members that was announced in mid-November.

EDF Action and EDF have spent over $8 million on its Build Back Better ad campaign since late-June. EDF Action also conducted a poll in September that showed broad support for clean energy and environmental protections in the build back better agenda.

“The Senate has no time to waste. They must pass the Build Back Better Act as soon as possible, so that families can start reaping the benefits of lower energy costs and new, good paying jobs,” said EDF Action Vice President of Campaigns Felice Stadler. “The bipartisan infrastructure bill was an important first step, but we also need to pass the Build Back Better Act to get to work rebuilding our economy, putting people first and tackling climate change head on.”
