Kevin Johnson Joins EDF Action Board of Directors

(WASHINGTON, DC - February 8, 2022) – EDF Action announced today that Kevin Johnson, a leader in the clean energy industry and military veteran, has joined the EDF Action Board of Directors.

The science is settled, and the world is moving forward toward a clean energy and clean transportation future. I will work with EDF Action to ensure the United States continues to lead this transformation while creating good paying jobs in communities across this country.”

Kevin Johnson is a senior executive, entrepreneur, investor, and advisor in the clean energy and electric mobility industries with over 14 years of experience managing corporate development, government relations, startup, and growth capital fundraising. During the 2020 Presidential election,

Kevin served on the National Investors Circle, Veteran outreach, and energy policy teams for Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s primary campaign. In the general election, Kevin served on President Biden’s Presidential transition fundraising committee.

Before entering the private sector, Kevin served as a Captain in the United States Army from 2002-2007. He deployed to Iraq in 2004 with the 1st Battalion, 33rd Field Artillery Regiment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II. Kevin earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from Cornell University, where he was a Roy H. Park Leadership Fellow. Kevin is also a Truman National Security Fellow at the Truman National Security Project and Emerging Leader at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. He serves on the Board of Directors for the American Resilience Project, Veterans Advanced Energy Project and previously served on the Board of Directors of the Clean Energy Leadership Institute (CELI) and Solar Energy Industry Association (SEIA). In 2013, Kevin was a recipient of the White House Champions of Change award for his leadership in the renewable energy industry.
