“Rather than acting to reduce the dangerous impacts of air pollution and climate change, the House of Representatives voted to put American families at risk by slashing critical funding for the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Interior.

The bill that just passed the House of Representatives also contained policy riders that would prolong the era of unlimited carbon pollution from power plants, block agencies from setting overdue standards to reduce methane pollution from the oil and gas industry, and delay EPA’s life-saving ozone standards. At a time when we urgently need to move forward with common-sense public health and environmental safeguards to protect our children, the House has voted to take a big step backwards.”
