Advancing Clean Energy Innovation Helped Push O’Halleran to Victory in AZ-01
EDF Action activated grassroots support for Tom O’Halleran in his re-election

(Washington, D.C. – November 12, 2020) EDF Action congratulates U.S. Representative Tom O’Halleran (AZ-01) on winning re-election.
“Voters sent a strong pro-environment message by re-electing Tom O’Halleran to Congress,” said EDF Action President Joe Bonfiglio. “Arizonans know that O’Halleran is focused on finding commonsense solutions that combat climate change and advance innovation in clean energy technology – helping to bring the American energy economy into the 21st century. We are proud to have supported Tom O’Halleran and his re-election bid because we know he’ll continue to find bipartisan solutions that benefit his district.”
EDF Action worked to deploy grassroots activist through the Green Wave program, where the group had an on-the-ground organizer and mobilized EDF Action members for Rep. O’Halleran’s re-election campaign. The Green Wave was a nationwide membership mobilization program done in partnership with the Sierra Club, NRDC Action Fund, National Wildlife Federation Action Fund and League of Conservation Voters where the groups helped to elect and re-elect pro-environment candidates in key battleground districts across the country.
Through this program, O’Halleran joined the Green Wave team for a digital phone bank where he discussed how he is fighting for Arizonans.
