Strong Environmental and Climate Record Helped Push Stein to Victory in NC Governor’s Race

EDF Action supported Josh Stein’s election

(Washington, DC – November 5, 2024) EDF Action congratulates Attorney General Josh Stein on winning election to North Carolina’s governorship.

“Voters sent a strong message by electing climate champion Josh Stein as North Carolina’s next governor,” said David Kieve, president of EDF Action. “As North Carolina’s Attorney General, Stein protected North Carolinians’ air, water, and wallets through consistent action to advance affordable clean energy solutions. We were proud to support Stein in his election and know that he will do even more as governor to bring fearless and bipartisan leadership on climate solutions that benefit all North Carolinians.”

EDF Action PAC also contributed grassroots support to mobilize climate voters in North Carolina, including deploying organizers from EDF Action and Clean Air Moms Action to help Governor-elect Stein and other candidates win election, and recruiting volunteers from among EDF Action’s membership.
