Public News Service: WI energy bills rise as Trump marks one year in office

Members of Congress including Rep. Derrick Van Orden (R-Wis) bear “complicity” in electric bill increases by voting for legislation “which ultimately harms their constituents,” said David Kieve, president of EDF Action.

“Doing things like voting for the president’s budget bill, which cut tax credits for development of clean energy, winds up having a real negative impact on what people pay to heat their homes in the wintertime, and to power their lives and their electronics,” Kieve stressed.
