EDF Action Votes spent $260,000 supporting Kristen McDonald Rivet’s election to the U.S. House
(WASHINGTON, D.C. – November 5, 2024) EDF Action congratulates state Sen. Kristen McDonald Rivet (MI-08) on winning election to the U.S. House.
“Voters sent a strong message by sending Kristen McDonald Rivet to Congress,” said David Kieve, president of EDF Action. “Representative-elect McDonald Rivet knows her constituents need safe drinking water and a cleaner environment and that’s why she championed climate action in her time in the Michigan Senate. We were proud to support McDonald Rivet in her election bid and her track record is evidence she’ll continue bringing bipartisan climate solutions to her district.”
EDF Action Votes launched a $260,000 digital ad campaign focused on McDonald Rivet’s support for protecting clean water, a key issue separating her from opponent Paul Junge in the open MI-08 race, which includes Flint, the site of an infamous water crisis.
