Protecting Clean Air & Safeguarding Health Helped Push Kelly to Victory in AZ-Sen
EDF Action and EDF Action Votes spent nearly $1 million in support of Mark Kelly’s election

(Washington, D.C. – November 4, 2020) EDF Action congratulates U.S. Senator-elect Mark Kelly (AZ-Sen) on winning his election.
“Voters sent a strong message by electing Mark Kelly to the U.S. Senate,” said EDF Action President Joe Bonfiglio. “Mark Kelly will fight for Arizona families’ health and well-being by ensuring everyone has clean air to breathe. We are proud to support Mark Kelly in his election and we know he’ll work to find bipartisan solutions that benefit Arizona.”
EDF Action Votes ran a television ad campaign centered on the issues of pollution and health.
EDF Action also worked to deploy grassroots activist through the Green Wave program, where the group had an on-the-ground organizer and mobilized EDF Action members for Mark Kelly’s campaign. The Green Wave was a nationwide membership mobilization program done in partnership with the Sierra Club, NRDC Action Fund, National Wildlife Federation Action Fund and League of Conservation Votes where the groups helped to elect and re-elect pro-environment candidates in key battleground districts across the country.
