(Harrisburg, PA- August 26, 2020) Today, EDF Action Votes will launch a digital campaign focused on showing Pennsylvania voters just how extreme Scott Perry (PA-10) truly is. The ad highlights Perry’s denial of climate science as well as his numerous anti-environmental votes that have put Pennsylvania’s air, water and lands at risk.

The ad, “Protect at all Costs,” will start running today on premium digital platforms all across the district.

“Scott Perry is extremely out of touch with Central Pennsylvania voters and their priorities,” said EDF Action President Joe Bonfiglio. “Even on common sense environmental issues that earn bipartisan support, Congressman Perry prefers to stoke divisions rather than protect our air, water, and health. Pennsylvania families can’t afford to send Scott Perry back to Washington.”

Scott Perry has repeatedly questioned the science of climate change while leading amendments to prevent the Defense Department from even studying the impact of climate change on military installations. He voted against efforts to reduce pollution from methane, ozone and to preserve clean water. When pressed on his anti-environmental record by his constituents at a town hall, Congressman Perry pushed the blame to “God” rather than actual polluters, claiming trees were responsible for nitrates and phosphates in the water.
