(Washington, DC – October 19, 2022) EDF Action Votes is launching a $500,000 campaign showcasing Adam Laxalt’s ties to big polluters — profiting off high gas prices with his stock in the oil companies and taking $192,000 in campaign donations from energy, oil and gas sectors.

The campaign will include a Spanish radio ad targeted at Latino voters and a 3-piece mail program that will run until Election Day.

“Adam Laxalt is profiting off hardworking Nevadans. As prices at the pump rise and hardworking people have to fill their tank, Laxalt will profit,” EDF Action Votes Director of Political Programs in the Southwest Anabel Maldonado said. “It’s clear that Laxalt is nothing but a career politician who will put his profits and Big Polluter allies ahead of what is right for Nevada. But voters have another choice, Catherine Cortez Masto, who has proven that she isn’t afraid to take on Big Polluters - fighting every day to hold them accountable for the betterment of her community.”

Last week, EDF Action Votes also released a campaign in support of Susie Lee’s re-election that is targeted at Latino voters.
