EDF Action Statement on President Trump’s State of the Union Address

(Washington D.C. – February 4, 2020) EDF Action President Joe Bonfiglio released the following statement in response to President Trump’s State of the Union address: 

“Climate change is a crisis that threatens our health, our economy and our national security — and President Trump gave it one throwaway line in an hour long speech. Over the past three years, his Administration has rolled back crucial environmental protections that keep our air and water clean, undermined efforts to fight the impacts of climate change, and implemented policies that help corporate polluters and hurt families and communities. President Trump and his Administration have made it clear that they’re looking out for special interests instead of the American people.”
