(Washington, D.C., October 21, 2021) This week, EDF Action, the advocacy partner of the Environmental Defense Fund, launched an ad campaign praising Reps. Stephanie Murphy (FL-07), Carolyn Bourdeaux (GA-07), Cindy Axne (IA-03), Jared Golden (ME-02), Elissa Slotkin (MI-08), Susie Lee (NV-03) and Steven Horsford (NV-04) for their work advocating for the Build Back Better agenda and urging final passage of the Build Back Better Act. This bill is a commonsense piece of legislation that would lower energy costs and create jobs.

This is part of a $6 million ad campaign EDF and EDF Action has been running since late June, which has focused on Congress’ efforts to go bold on clean energy and transportation investments.

“We have a real window of opportunity to go bold on climate action with serious investments in clean energy and transportation. These investments will be historic for our country – helping to boost the economy of today with good paying jobs right here at home while improving public health and reducing the worst impacts of the climate crisis for future generations,” said EDF Action Vice President of Campaigns Felice Stadler. “But we need Congress to take action now and get the Build Back Better Act across the finish line and onto the president’s desk. These members of Congress are working hard to get results, and now it’s time to finish the job.”
