EDF Action Launches $500,000 Ad Campaign Urging Reps. Fletcher, Gonzalez, Cuellar and Vela to Power Up Texas with Bold Climate and Clean Energy Solutions in the Build Back Better Agenda

(Austin, Texas - September 28, 2021) This week, EDF Action, the advocacy partner of the Environmental Defense Fund, launched a digital and TV ad campaign urging Reps. Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07), Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15), Henry Cuellar (TX-28) and Filemon Vela (TX-34) to support bold climate solutions through investments in infrastructure like helping to fix the electrical grid and creating good paying clean energy jobs, all part of the Build Back Better agenda slated for consideration this in Congress.

This is part of a $2.5 million ad buy EDF and EDF Action is running in September to support Congress’ efforts to go bold on clean energy and transportation investments.

“We have a real window of opportunity to make the critical investments in our infrastructure that would really benefit Texas’ economy in the near- and long-term. This includes serious investments in fixing our electrical grid and making Texas a leader in creating the good paying clean energy jobs today,” said Colin Leyden, Texas Political Director for EDF Action. “There is no question that this would be a big boost for our health, economy and environment.
