EDF Action launches $230,000 National TV Ad Campaign Supporting Build Back Better

(Washington, D.C. - January 19, 2022) The week of President Biden’s year-anniversary in office, EDF Action, the advocacy partner of the Environmental Defense Fund, launched a national TV ad campaign that focuses on the need for bold climate action and the passage of the Build Back Better Act. Using President Biden’s words, the ad highlights the opportunity we have to tackle climate change and create good paying jobs right here at home.

The ad, “History Calls” is a $230,000 ad buy that is running in the DC media market and nationally during the morning shows for one week. Climate Power has also previously run a version of this ad as part of their national campaign to advocate for Congress to take lasting climate action.

This is on top of the $8 million ad campaign that EDF and EDF Action has been running since late-June.

“Clean energy and climate action are incredibly popular across the country and across the political spectrum, because the vast majority of the American public is experiencing first-hand devastating and costly climate impacts year after year,” said EDF Action VP of Campaigns Felice Stadler. “Build Back Better will lower energy costs, create more jobs, and increase clean energy. It will be the boldest climate action in American history. Congress has the chance to be on the right of side of history and deliver for the American people and for our children’s future.”
