Tips for engaging effectively
- Follow them. Congressional offices use social media to keep you informed about members' positions and efforts, so don't just post on their page — follow them and comment often. Become a regular, and they'll know you're serious!
- Be personal. Let them know you're not a spambot! Don't just retweet their tweet, modify it first. Emphasize that you live in their district or state, since it's more difficult for them to discern that on social media than it is through email or postal mail.
