“Today Donald Trump demonstrated once again why his presidency would be a serious danger to our environment. He has embraced policies that would allow the powerful to pollute without consequences. He would dismantle decades of bi-partisan work to keep our air and water clean. His plans would mean more smog, more asthma attacks, less productivity, and a less healthy future.
“Donald Trump’s careless dismissal of our most important environmental protections should be very worrisome for parents who want a healthy future for their kids. Young people, who are eager to see more clean energy jobs and less climate change, should also reject Trump’s backward-looking view.
“Some may want to turn away from politics, but today’s speech shows again why it is so important to oppose Trump’s dangerous attempts to scrap the progress we’ve made toward a cleaner world.”
