“Donald Trump’s selection of Myron Ebell shows again what a grave danger he is to our environment and our children’s future. Putting Myron Ebell in charge of environmental policy is like putting Bernie Madoff in charge of overseeing financial institutions.
“Ebell and the Competitive Enterprise Institute have made a career out of taking money from Exxon and misleading the public about climate change, which he calls ‘nothing to worry about.’ Ebell is a professional climate denier from the far fringe of the climate change debate.
“Choosing Ebell to run his environmental transition team is a dark foreshadowing of the world we’d get with Donald Trump as president – more pollution, more asthma attacks, irresponsible management of our natural resources, isolation from global allies on serious policy issues, and accelerated climate change. Trump and Ebell would give the powerful a license to pollute without consequences.”
