New EDF Action Ads Praise NY Rep. Elise Stefanik on Her Environmental Record

(Washington, D.C. – September 7, 2018) EDF Action today launched a digital ad campaign supporting New York Republican Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, who has been vocal in calling for action to address climate change and voted to reduce harmful pollution.
“Elise Stefanik knows that addressing climate pollution is good policy, and good for our health, our jobs, and our national security,” said Joe Bonfiglio, President of EDF Action. “She has shown leadership on the issue and we are proud to highlight her record with these ads.”
The ads, which will run online starting today, highlight Stefanik’s support for sound environmental policies.
Stefanik led a group of 17 Republicans that introduced a resolution calling on Congress to address climate change. Stefanik also has a record of voting to hold polluters accountable, stand up for sound science, and defend limits on smog (also known as ozone) and methane pollution.
EDF Action, the advocacy partner of Environmental Defense Fund, is running ads supporting pro-environment candidates on both sides of the aisle, across the country in competitive districts.
