EDF Action, the advocacy partner of the Environmental Defense Fund, launched an ad campaign thanking Reps. Tom O’Halleran (AZ-01), Stephanie Murphy (FL-07), Lucy McBath (GA-06), Carolyn Bourdeaux (GA-07), Cindy Axne (IA-03), Elissa Slotkin (MI-08), Haley Stevens (MI-11), Susie Lee (NV-03), Steven Horsford (NV-04), Conor Lamb (PA-17) Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07), Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15), Henry Cuellar (TX-28), Marc Veasey (TX-33) and Filemon Vela (TX-34) for their support of  the Build Back Better Act. This bill is a commonsense piece of legislation that would lower energy costs and create jobs.

EDF Action and EDF have spent over $7 million on the Build Back Better ad campaign since late June. EDF Action also conducted a poll in September that showed broad support for clean energy and environmental protection in the agenda to build back better.

“The House just took a historic step in our efforts to make bold climate action a reality,” said EDF Action Vice President of Campaigns Felice Stadler. “These bills, the Build Back Better Act and the bipartisan infrastructure package are a much-needed investment in our future - with billions for climate programs that expand clean energy, invest in communities with the greatest need, lower energy costs, and create more economic opportunities for American workers. Thank you for tirelessly fighting for our families, our economy and our planet. Now, we urge the Senate to quickly pass the Build Back Better Act, so we can get to work rebuilding our economy while tackling the climate emergency head on.”
