EDF Action Launches Ad Campaign Supporting Congressman Carlos Curbelo
Florida Republican Has Pushed for Climate Action

(Washington, D.C. – August 29, 2016) EDF Action, the advocacy partner of Environmental Defense Fund, today launched a major television and digital ad campaign supporting the re-election of Florida Republican Congressman Carlos Curbelo.
Rep. Curbelo has been outspoken about the need for climate action – challenging his party to embrace clean energy and common-sense climate solutions.
“Congressman Curbelo has been a strong voice for climate action and clean energy. If we’re going to solve this great challenge, we’ll need bipartisan support – and leaders like Carlos Curbelo,” said EDF Action President Elizabeth Thompson. “He recognizes that clean energy jobs are booming and it’s time that the Sunshine State got its fair share.”
The ads, which will run in Miami from August 28th to September 19th, highlight Curbelo’s support for a range of environmental issues, from chemical safety to Everglades and coastal protection.
The ad, which can be seen here, will run in both English and Spanish.
The Curbelo ads are the third major EDF Action campaign of the 2016 campaign, following efforts launched in the Pennsylvania and Wisconsin U.S. Senate races.
