(Sanford, FL- August 14, 2021) EDF Action, the advocacy partner of the Environmental Defense Fund, and Southern Alliance for Clean Energy held an event at Henry’s Depot to highlight the need for bold climate solutions like electric vehicles and clean energy. At the event, there was a demonstration of how electric vehicles are a practical transportation option, and gave people the opportunity to test drive an electric vehicle.

“EDF Action members are energized about meeting the moment, advocating for bold climate action now. They’re out gathering petitions, doing visibility events and meeting with elected officials to talk about the importance of tackling the climate crisis head on. We need Congress to act now with bold solutions that accelerate our transition to a clean economy, with big investments in clean energy and electric vehicles,” said Mary Linn, EDF Action’s Florida Climate Team Organizer.

“We are excited to engage stakeholders on the benefits of electric transportation while educating people through hands-on electric vehicle driving experiences,” said Dory Larsen, Electric Transportation Program Manager with Southern Alliance for Clean Energy. “Events like this help us demonstrate how EVs save us money and time, improve our rides, and are an important climate solution. EVs are for EVeryone!”
