EDF Action Congratulates Central Arizona Water Conservation District Board Members-Elect on Election Night

EDF Action spent over $285,000 to support pro-conservation candidates for the CAWCD Board this year

EDF Action congratulates Central Arizona Water Conservation District (CAWCD) Board Members-Elect Lisa Atkins, Terry Goddard, and Heather Macre on their victories today. EDF Action spent over $285,000 to support pro-conservation candidates for the CAWCD Board this year.

“Lisa Atkins, Terry Goddard, and Heather Macre understand the role of thoughtful, balanced water conservation policy in securing a robust future for Arizona,” said Joe Bonfiglio, President of EDF Action. “EDF Action is proud to have played a role in helping elect Lisa Atkins, Terry Goddard, and Heather Macre to the Central Arizona Water Conservation District Board. We look forward to working with the CAWCD Board and all our leaders to ensure a secure and resilient water future for Arizona.”

In total, EDF Action spent nearly $9 million in over 30 races and in pivotal battleground states, supporting pro-environment candidates on both sides of the aisle, in federal, state, and local races.
