NEWS RELEASE

Today, Senator. Elizabeth Warren introduced the Climate Risk Disclosure Act, to better inform investors of the significant risks associated with the impacts of climate change and the reverberating impact to our economy.

“Climate change poses a myriad of risks to the global financial system and we applaud Senator Warren for her leadership in helping to improve the information made available to investors about this critical issue. This bill would help investors get the detailed and comparable data they need in order manage potentially detrimental impacts to portfolios from these risks and evaluate how companies are positioned for the future.

“As the Trump administration seeks to weaken and rollback risk-reducing climate regulations, as they irresponsibly did this week with the EPA methane standards, the pressure to require robust climate change disclosure will only grow.”
