(Washington, D.C.) EDF Action and the National Wildlife Federation Action Fund launched digital ads that will run in Ohio, Indiana and Washington, DC to thank Senators Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) and Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.) for advancing a bipartisan farm bill that invests in America’s farmers, ranchers and conservation.

These ads expand an ongoing ad campaign thanking Senate Agriculture Committee Chairman Pat Roberts (R-Kan.), Ranking Member Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.), and Senators Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) and John Thune (R-S.D.).

“Senator Brown ensured that the farm bill expedites how the U.S. Department of Agriculture reviews new conservation practices. This change has a massive impact,” said Joe Bonfiglio, president of EDF Action. “Conservation practice standards define how USDA programs are implemented. Making sure that these standards keep pace with on-farm innovations is crucial for farmers’ customer experience, environmental outcomes and efficient use of taxpayer dollars.”

“This year’s farm bill shows that bipartisanship is still alive in the U.S. Senate. It has strong conservation provisions that will benefit wildlife and the hunters and anglers who cherish them,” said Collin O’Mara, president of the National Wildlife Federation Action Fund. “We especially appreciate Senator Donnelly’s work to make sure that sustainable farming practices and crop insurance policies work together to benefit farmers and sportsmen and sportswomen.”
