(Washington, D.C. – November 8, 2022) EDF Action congratulates U.S. Representative Abigail Spanberger (VA-07) for winning reelection.

“Voters sent a strong message by reelecting Abigail Spanberger to Congress,” said EDF Action President David Kieve. “Spanberger’s bipartisan record in Congress speaks for itself: advocating for a fairer, more inclusive democracy while working to lower energy costs for families, create good-paying clean energy jobs and ensure healthier communities. We were proud to support Abigail Spanberger in her reelection bid and know she’ll continue to fight for Virginia families. We look forward to working with Representative Spanberger to continue making climate progress over the next two years.”

EDF Action Votes invested $1.2 million on a TV ad featuring Bobby Mathieson, a former police officer of 25 years and retired U.S. Marshal of eight years, who helped make the case for why Spanberger was the only choice for Virginia.

As part of its largest-ever program to engage EDF Action members in critical campaigns, EDF Action members, including staff volunteered for Abigail Spanberger in Virginia 7th Congressional district to get out the vote.
